DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal run by The British Red Cross
Justin and his wife, Tamsin have just returned from driving one of two vans 1,200 miles to Przemysl in Poland, on the Ukrainian border to deliver 400 much needed sleeping bags and medical kits. Alongside this, the team are also raising money to support the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal run by The British Red Cross. They are aiming to raise £100k and are already on £51k at the time of writing. If you would like to support this cause, you can do so by visiting their JustGiving page here and donating.
South Pole 2022:
A 2,150 kilometre journey Chasing The Light across Antarctica
We have just arrived in Punta Arenas having been in Antarctica since the beginning of November - man, it’s fab to be heading home as it has been a long gritty one. In total we were on the ice for 57 days and covered over 1,400miles.
What an adventure we’ve had though, full of everything you might imagine but mainly camaraderie, teamwork and wonderment at the brutal majesty of that harsh Continent.
We’ve managed to do some fantastic research around Climate Change and also our physiology & psychology along the way, collaborating with the brilliant @nasa , @europeanspaceagency and @stanfordsnyderlab . So all in all, it been one hell of a ride but home is calling now …..
The Conscious Travel Foundation Toolkit: Travel can and should be a force for good
At Joro Experiences, we’re extremely passionate about sustainability and strongly believe that travel can and should be a force for good. We know that if we all start making small changes individually, we can have a big impact when we come together. However, we’re also aware that it can feel overwhelming knowing where to start. That’s why we're pleased to have sponsored The Conscious Travel Foundation's Toolkit that launched this month to help other companies look at their business and ask the important questions to start their sustainability journey.
You can find out more about @theconscioustravelfoundation and download the Toolkit by signing up their mailing list/registering your interest on their website
